I am 27, Icelandic.
Started a company and work there every day.
Hacked my way through the Icelandic fashion world with a t-shirt .
Which led me into starting the first gold teeth business there..
Made a couple of music videos in the meantime.
Worked on a presidential campaign in Iceland.
Made all my money taking photos. Spent all my money developing film.
That led me into the art world.
Worked with Olafur Eliasson for the last 5 years:
- taught me how to see again.
- taught me most of what I know.
- had the chance to work on all kind of amazing projects.
...including researching animal perception for the show Life at the Fondation Beyeler.
Studied art in London and Switzerland.
Spent half the time there discovering new artists and the other half discovering new companies.
I wrote a story. And finished a few projects.
Had a three-month adventure in Lisbon.
Ended up living in a garden cottage in Berkeley.
Watched AI bubble up, got fantastic lectures from Percy Liang, Yann LeCun, Ken Stanley, Reid Hoffman, etc.
While keeping a connection to the ground with lots of unexpected lessons about the value of context and simplicity through the farm-to-table movement.
Decided that I really like technology. And I love San Francisco.
It feels like the entire internet is about to change. I want to see a completely digitally integrated future. And I do not mean talking fridges.
Decided it was time to go to the frontlines. Making things is hard.
I sometimes make an appearance in the legacy media, will post some thoughts on the state of media later, but here are the links.
